Taking place in the virtual town of Sandford, this resource provides access to elements of the Diploma which are potentially difficult for learners to access to in the real world and which might be unfamiliar to practitioners.

Learners gain access to a comprehensive range of resources that link directly to the content and learning outcomes in the Society, Health and Development Diploma. The content is also relevant to other programmes, such as Public Services, and other subject areas, such as humanities and social sciences.

What level is it targeted at?

The VIBE Society, Health and Development is aimed at level 2 learners. It can be tailored to a range of qualifications and subjects, including:

  • Diploma in Society, Health and Development
  • A level Sociology
  • GCSE Sociology
  • BTEC Public Services
  • OCR Level 2 Nationals in Public Services
  • PSHE

About the Vibe for Society, Health and Development

"The VIBE provides an opportunity for learners to explore an environment beyond the classroom in a safe and easily guided way. These experiences can then be taken by learners into the real world.

All activities link directly to issues raised within the Diploma specifications and wider issues such as ethics and diversity. Students can be directed to specific areas or allowed to roam and find their own areas of interest."
